The story behind the work
What was the challenge?
The success of the Belgian national hockey teams, men and women, has given the sport an incredible boost. Nearly every hockey club in Belgium has seen its ranks swell considerably. Royal Victory Hockey Club in Edegem (Antwerp) has been a haven for hockey enthusiasts since 1919. Today the club is literally bursting out of its skin. With over 1,200 active members, it is easily one of the largest hockey clubs in the country. The return of Red Panthers captain Charlotte De Vos shows where the club stands now. Players and fans had to be able to identify with the club.
What choices did we make?
A sports club is not an everyday client. Just as in the corporate world, a rebranding affects the whole organisation, from the boardroom and the players to the fans and volunteers. We tried to integrate the roots of the club as much as possible into the new look & feel. To that we added a strong guiding principle and a new slogan: 'Live Hockey. Love Victory'.
What did we create?
Royal Victory H.C. got a new visual system. It evokes the club's rich history and lays the groundwork for its continued expansion. The new look & feel builds on the roots of the club. A strong guiding principle supports it, together with the new slogan: 'Live Hockey. Love Victory'. Players and fans can identify with the club.
