The idea

Atelier Veritas is a tribute to the haberdashery heritage. It is a warm, welcoming place for creatives, where sharing tips counts as much as shining yourself. Around it we built a mobile studio, a free newspaper and the Atelier Box.

The story behind the work

What was the challenge?

Atelier Veritas pays tribute to the haberdashery heritage. The idea behind it is simple: sharing tips with your peers matters as much as shining yourself. The place had to bring people together. Creatives looking for exclusive prints and a friendly face had to feel welcome, and advice had to be worth as much as the materials on the shelves. Professionals and peers take people through a project step by step, so the concept had to make room for that.

What choices did we make?

We designed the logo on screen and then had a stamp of it custom-made for an actual print. That adds a genuine DIY touch. In the space, the drawers are there to be opened, and visitors can sit down with a coffee and talk about a project in progress. The advice they get is as valuable as the materials they buy. The furniture is modular, so it can be moved around to suit the context. Not all shelves display products. Some are reserved for creations made by the Atelier community. Professionals and peers guide people through the process step by step, and stop motion videos catch attention and inspire people instantly.

What did we create?

Atelier Veritas has a shop-in-shop and concept stores. To inspire visitors at events that match the Atelier philosophy, we built a mobile studio as an extension of those. A free newspaper appears every three months. It shares ideas for new DIY projects with detailed work descriptions and puts members of the Atelier Veritas maker community in the spotlight. The newspaper is limited to 24 pages, so the website offers additional content, including a large series of YouTube videos. The Atelier Box contains everything needed for a particular design and is delivered to your door. Since its launch, online sales have grown significantly.
