Brand guidelinesTemplatesFile library
A brand book as PDF or website, so the current version is always the one in circulationBrand guidelines with all technical specificationsA logically organised file libraryTemplates for what gets made every day: presentations, quotes, social formatsA short session with your team, because a document nobody has gone through doesn't work

“Our test: can someone who wasn't there find what they need within five minutes? If not, the document is too long.”

Eighteen months later,<br>it still has to be right.

On delivery day, everyone knows how the brand works. A year and a half later, half of those people have been replaced, the printer is a different one and the new marketer has pulled the logo from an old presentation. A brand book is the insurance against that turnover.

The brand book explains why: positioning, story, values, tone of voice and the reasoning behind the visual choices. The brand guidelines explain how: colour values, logo use, grids, dos and don'ts. For small organisations they sit in one document; with many external suppliers we separate them.

Does this sound like your situation?

Tell us briefly what's going on. The first conversation is free and, at worst, gives you a second opinion.

Frequently asked questions

Do we get the files and the rights?

Yes. On delivery and full payment, you receive all source files and full usage rights to the work we created for you. Third-party typefaces fall under the foundry's licence, and we register them in your name.

Can you create guidelines for a brand you didn't design?

Yes. It happens regularly, for example after an acquisition or with an identity that has no documentation. We reconstruct the system and document it.

How do we keep it up to date?

By making one person its owner and reviewing it every year. Where a lot changes, we deliver it as a website instead of a PDF.
